Oh I do like to be beside the sea...
Yesterday was our weekly "explore Northumberland day" with our bestest friends. We are trying to keep the toddlers entertained, get fresh air and aim to get out of the house at least once a week and we are all enjoying it!
This week we went to the aquarium at Tynemouth. We've been before for APH's first birthday last year. This year they were alot more excited running around shouting "oh wow" at all the creatures.
I wasn't impressed with the big rise in costs, £8.60 for an adult. Children under 3 were free thankfully. As madam was very well behaved she got a gift from the shop. A big bag of bath toys. Good amount for the money too which was unexpected for a tourist shop.
We splashed in the sea opposite afterwards, APH loved it and would have stayed all day if we'd let him. Madam fell into the sea and promptly decided she didn't like it at all. "no sea" was the new found phrase.
All in all a fab day out x

Very pleased with myself
I'm so impressed with myself. I finally managed to make a dress for madam that I'm happy for her to wear in public...it's reversible too!

Learning curve
So, the craft fair.... Didn't go as well as hoped. I managed to sell one item but other than that it wasn't a hit.
Im looking on it as a good experience, the bright side... I now have business cards, proper craft insurance too.

Dressmaking course
So, every Monday I am partaking in a dressmaking course at a local high school. I was very excited to learn that this year they had started this so I signed up straight away!
It started last week, first week included talking us through making a block for our pattern (measuring our figure to make pattern pieces esp for us)
We're aiming to make a skirt specifically for ourselves. I'll post the final product...fingers crossed it gies well. I'm hopefully going to replicate it for my girl too x

The craft fair is approaching
So, this time tomorrow I will have completed my first ever craft fair. To say I'm nervous is an understatement, but...what will be will be I guess.
I have made a selection of items, have pictures of custom orders etc but prices are baffling me at present.
Hopefully my girl will let me sleep tonight to enable me to be more prepared. Have my trusty friend Vicky on hand though... Wish me luck x
